Pianist, composer and arranger. He holds degrees from
the University of Texas at Austin (D.M.A.) and CSU LA
(B.A., and M.A.).He serves as the resource team
Afro-Cuban Music Expert for the Int¡¯l Association for Jazz
Education. Dr. De Castro is director and associate
professor of the Master in Music program in Afro-Latin
Music at California State University, LA.

Arcadia Chinese Ensemble
Southern California Arcadia Chinese Ensemble (SCACE)
established in June 13, 2004. This is a non-profit
organization. The purpose is to promote interest in
Chinese music, to provide opportunity for students to
expose and experience to play in-group with difference
instruments, to improve the performance skills. This
organization will work with the other organizations in the
community to perform in various occasions.
